Asiansation Invasion: Christian Bautista OUTBOUND

This song will definitely melt your heart as you hear it, plus will make you fall in love with the singer.

THE WAY YOU LOOKED AT ME was a ballad love song from our Asiansation, Christian Bautista. He was famed not only here in the Philippines but also across other Asian countries like Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand through this breakthrough song. He captured the heart of millions of Asian fans (mostly girls) because of his undeniable charm and incomparable singing style. He starred in the movie "A Special Symphony" which was his first international movie. Now, proving he is more than a balladeer, he has been a part of The Kitchen Musical. A musical TV series shown in almost 19 countries in Asia and Europe. He plays as Daniel Ray, a sous chef of the Avilon restaurant. See this clip for Christian's "FAITH" performance in TKM.

Christian has been freshly awarded: "Exemplary ASEAN Youth in the field of Entertainment and the Arts" by the National Youth Commission. This recognition only pointed out how he is very successful in his chosen field.

As a true OPM pride, Christian is now attempting to reach a wider scope of Asia with his newest international album entitled OUTBOUND under Universal Records. He has a new sound on this album, never heard from him before, which is a result of his collaborations in song writing, arrangement and vocals with different talented Asians like Tat Tong, One Way and Baby M.

Soyami Soya Chips: Junk Foods? Healthy SOYAMI is the answer!

Eating? We all love to eat right? But not all of us consider "healthy eating".

I had been working as call center representative for almost 2 years now. And I must admit that I gained too much weight compared before when I was still studying. I am eating here, there and everywhere specially when boredom strikes... eating is my way to get over it. And due to lack of time for physical activities, I am really having trouble in controlling my weight. More to it, I am afraid to be unhealthy as time flies.

I had been in love to junk foods, literally in love. I always bring chips to work. Of course we all know how unhealthy junk foods are. Not until I found out about AM SOYAMI SOYA CHIPS, which are made with real SOYA. As a matter of fact,SOYA itself is a true healthy source! These delicious chips are packed with high protein and calcium, with no MSG and 0% trans fat! AMazing eh?! Now, look how I love them!

Available in Original, White Cheddar and Pizza flavors (my personal favorite is white cheddar the blue one, yum!). I love eating Soyami now, with soya milk too! Haha! Now in watching movies, I have Soyami in hand instead of popcorns. At work, I have Soyami to share to my office mates and they love it too! I can eat chips now, without being worried, without the guilt...

Italian craving: Ristorante BIGOLI

Pasta? Pizza? Gelato? Let Ristorante BIGOLI satisfy your craving for ITALY.

I am honestly not a fan of Italian restaurants, but in addition to what I usually see in Eastwood City, Libis, Q.C. - here comes Ristorante Bigoli, which was introduced to me by a friend having one of the greatest Italian cuisine in the metro. So I figured that it is worth a shot to try it.

Let's talk about the place,

Here's a view from the top, for a mansion like vibe.

The place has a classy ambiance. And there is a photo booth for everyone!

Ever since I saw the trailer of this movie. I don't know but I fell in love with it's concept.

What if we live in a world where we need TIME to LIVE or DIE?

Chinoy Foodtrip: MASUKI in BINONDO ♥

Craving for authentic chinese food experience? Of course! Manila's Chinatown: BINONDO is "THE PLACE".

As history curves its way to the present, Filipinos adopted the Chinese culture as they were a great part of our own culture's development. But one thing that we Filipinos LOVE is absolutely the Chinese cuisine.

On a recent team bonding with my co-workers, we had this weird adventure trip to Binondo for the greatest Chinese Food experience... after public transportation and long know what? WE SUCCEEDED!

After asking some Binondo peeps about directions to refrain from getting lost, we found MASUKI a Chinese Restaurant since 1930. Getting back to our history topic, this Mami house was the living legend of the famed Ma Mon Luk Chinese noodles.

As the menu was handed over to our group, I actually felt the hunger that I was ignoring the whole morning! Just in time to dive in to my Chinoy pick of food.

Since it was my first time in MASUKI, I actually want to try EVERYTHING, but of course, my tummy might burst... so I browsed the menu and ordered the one that seems beyond delicious, though I want to apologize, due to hunger, I don't even remember what were my exact orders! Or is it the effect of the food being too yummy that I forgot their names? Haha!

MUSIC: Araw Oras Tagpuan - Spongecola (album review)

Yael Yuzon, Erwin Armovit, Gosh Dilay and (now with) Tedmark Cruz collectively dubbed as SPONGECOLA has come a long way UP, far from being just your typical college band! After making their renowned and unwavering name in the local music industry by countless chart-topping songs for this generation like Jeepney, Bitiw,Tuliro, Puso and Di Na Mababawi, just to name a few; recently their TAMBAY EP achieved the DIAMOND record in sales! (Which is really hard to get nowadays with all these piracy and economy issues blocking our talented home grown musicians in earning that title.)

SC ain't stopping. Now they are on their 4th full-length album offering from UNIVERSAL RECORDS entitled ARAW ORAS TAGPUAN

(photo caption: my own copy of Araw Oras Tagpuan signed by Sponge Cola)

An album from one of the most well-known local band of this generation? Let's see what is my take on their new release. Here is the album's  MIGHTY-REVIEW:

- Tambay is a song that will definitely make your day. It's catchy tune will keep playing in your head on repeat. It is a good kick-off track for the album. Stargazer on the other hand has a direct detour to your heart. You will actually feel the "pain" that the song implies in a melancholic attack. Regal is my favorite track off from this record. It is more like a sweet serenade for me. Lyrically speaking, this song is nothing but brilliant. The melody is perfect and all the words used are well thought of. And did I already mentioned it's sweet? Listening to it will melt your heart away... ♥ It is now my current lullaby to sleep. Honestly. Well, watch this official music video for Regal:

PP UNDERGROUND RIVER: Let's make it possible up until 11.11.11

Hear I am..making an honest petition to campaign for the Puerto Princesa Underground River (Palawan,PH) to make it on the list of the NEW 7 WONDERS OF NATURE.

Last July 28 PPUR was declared 1 of 28 elite finalist from over 441 participants. That's a big "congratulations" to all the supporters of course, that we have come this far, but THE FIGHT IS NOT YET OVER. We are in a head-to-head battle against other wonders of nature. All their mother countries are also exerting huge efforts in promotion of their own finalist. We, as FILIPINO CITIZENS, should also support our very own nominee in the aim for our NATURAL TREASURES to be known worldwide! PPUR is one great example of how blessed we are for this land that we call our own and it is now time to give back to nature by paying tribute to the famed WORLD'S LONGEST UNDERGROUND RIVER.

JOBS well done! (A tribute to Steve Jobs)

Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs
(February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011)

The whole world was in shock when a news came out last October 5, 2011:

Jobs' family made a statement that he "died peacefully today".

Steve Jobs, the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of APPLE INC., had changed the world through his fearless innovations and breakthrough products. A true treasure in the industry of technology, which Apple has been a homegrown name, Jobs has contributed in our lives in many ways. Every single Apple product we are capable to enjoy at the present is a product of labor from Jobs and all the people behind Apple Inc. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer since 2004 and started a fight against it with series of treatments and transplant surgeries. The fight, though has not been won, was still a great fight for him, his family and friends.

Steve Jobs, will surely be missed, as a foundation of the new generation technology and as an icon of innovation. A hero of technology, a great entrepreneur on his chosen field and a family man. Surely, Jobs, well done!

The World's Yummiest Drinks!

(photo credit: Happy Lemon Philippines Facebook Fanpage)

Originally from Hongkong, Happy Lemon was brought to PH as a franchise, for the growing milk tea industry to be introduced to Filipinos.

And since there is a branch at Eastwood Mall which is quite accessible, I figured these STRANGE DRINKS are worth a try...

I will confess on this blogpost that i literally FELL IN LOVE with HAPPY LEMON...It became my comfort drink ever since the first time I tried one...I usually go grab a drink to reward myself, if there's something to celebrate or even just to normally take a break... I know there are others like Serenitea and Bubbletea which offers almost the same feature...but for me, HAPPY LEMON still keeps me happy...

Happy Lemon is tagged as "The World's Yummiest Drink"
but as this picture leaked:

Is it still YUMMY? or YUCKY?

This picture created a buzz on all Happy Lemon drinkers and I am shocked to see this photo on social networking sites like facebook and twitter. This gave me an instant "YUCK" reaction! Of course, who would want a swimming cockroach on his/her comfort, yummy and favorite drink right? For me as a consumer, this photo is alarming.

And here is a public statement from HAPPY LEMON PHILIPPINES on facebook:

To our valued customers:

Our stores have always followed the safety, cleanliness and quality standards set by the brand’s international operator, and our ingredients are sourced from approved suppliers that adhere to the same strict standards.

In response to the recent claim that questions these procedures, we strongly caution anyone from jumping to conclusions without knowing the condition in which the said drink was kept. As the drink had already been out of the store for several hours, the connection between the incident and the branch where the drink originated cannot be thoroughly substantiated.

Happy Lemon works hard to ensure the well-being of our customers, and we give you our utmost assurance that we have and will continue to consistently strive to exceed the brand’s global standards. We happily remain at your service.

Charles Chua
Vice President
Happy Lemon Philippines

Happy Lemon will still be my HAPPY DRINK. We cannot put aside the fact that this can also be a black propaganda just to put down this growing successful business, who knows? Right?

As a happy lemon lover, here are some of my captured happy lemon time:

If you will ask me if I will still drink Happy Lemon, I WILL. If you will ask me what is my favorite HL drink I'll say: "COCOA with ROCK SALT and CHEESE is ♥" and dont forget your add-ons! :)

PLANKahan :)

"I can't even believe that I am blogging about PLANKING"

I browsed my timeline and saw tweets like PLANK Sinatra, PLANKlin Drilon, PLANKy Manzano, PLANK Magalona, PLANKie and Miel Pangilinan, PLANKenstein, Manny PLANKman Pacquiao and PLANK vs. Zombies with the hashtag #Plankahan...

I laughed out loud (and hard) at it, seriously! I thought maybe planking is just on twitter spotlight again...

But not until i checked the trending topic and found Anti-Planking Act of 2011...

(photo credit: to owner -Yahoo News )

I got interested about the story behind it and I searched it online and found out that this Anti-Planking Act of 2011 was initiated here in the PH by Rep. Winston Castelo in concern to safety of the Filipino youth. This was due to youth planking on streets for protests and rallies.

For me (in my sincerest opinion), Castelo's gesture about safety is good, but I agree to some of  the comments this issue earned especially on twitter (as i have checked) that there are bigger problems of this nation that needs high priority and importance. There's more ways, wider ways, on how we can give safety to the Filipino youth. As I believe that includes the fight to poverty and poor education quality which has been a homegrown problem ever since.

So as I think it will be best for our respected government to do what is needed to be done and it is best for our youth to PLANK AT THEIR OWN RISK.

*disclaimer: I DON'T PLANK... I will never try though.. hahaha!

Yes, it is a PASSION and a FRUSTRATION...

define PASSION? (from
-   a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept
define FRUSTRATION? (from
-  a deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs

-my PASSION and FRUSTRATION rolled in one!

I remembered a time in my life when my mom asked me on what course will I take on college, in a snap, I answered PHOTOGRAPHY... my mom laughed and said "PANG MAYAMAN LANG YON" (its only for the "rich kids")

That day marked the start of my frustration in photography...I seriously started to think that I can never be a photographer at all...and that frustration started to fade away when I started to go to college and eventually work...

Up until I met this WORLD-CLASS MISMO PHOTOGRAPHER... hahaha! No, seriously.. I am actually dragged into the world of photography AGAIN by this enthusiast.. and he is not just some random person I knew or became friends with.. HE IS MY GREATEST INFLUENCE... HE IS THE PERSON I LOOK UP TO... I RESPECT AND SUPPORT HIM ALL THE WAY...

and for the record, PASSION now added to the frustration... now I have this goal, to get this little cutie right here: (as soon as possible)
CANON EOS 11OOD (T3) is an entry level DSLR that got my attention badly...a canon in RED color!(yeah, that matters to me! hahah) This little baby got me the first time because the features are great for an entry level, and (the most important thing I consider) the price is not that much!

Ever since I saw this canon model, I said to myself that it is not that impossible IF I WANT TO.. I just needed a little bit of "push" and i will get it SOON! (I hope..haha)

GOAL: CANON 1100D by the end of 2011 (fingers-crossed)

Welcome me back on BLOGSPOT!

yeah! im back! after the longest time...can you believe that? I MISSED BLOGSPOT! i really do...

so here i am...

*i deleted my old blog here due to memories i want to forget. (-_-) hahaha!
